ILL, Sick
สองคำนี้มีความหมายว่า "ป่วย, การเจ็บป่วย" เป็น Adjective เช่น
He was ill yesterday. = He was sick yesterday.
ที่ใช้ต่างกันคือ
"ill" ใช้ได้เฉพาะตามหลัง Verb to be หรือกลุ่มคำที่ใช้แบบ Verb to be(fell, look, become) เช่น
She feels ill today.
"Sick" ใช้ได้เหมือน ill แต่ใช้นำหน้านามได้ด้วย เช่น
My friend is sick. (ill)
She has to talk care of her sick sister.
(ประโยคนี้ใช้ ill แทนไม่ได้)
