Because ใช้คำไหนแทนได้บ้าง

วันนี้เราจะมาเรียนรู้คำศัพท์ คำอื่น ๆ ที่มีความหมายเดียวกับคำว่า “Because” เรามาดูกันว่านอกจากจะใช้ because แล้วเราจะใช้คำไหนได้อีกบ้างมาดูกันค่ะ

เห็นมั้ยคะว่ามีหลายคำมาก ๆ ที่มีความหมายเหมือน Because เมื่อเราเห็นคำเหล่านี้ในประโยคคราวหน้าเราก็จะรู้ได้เลยว่าแปลว่าอะไร ไว้คราวหน้าแอดมินจะมาสอนอีกทีนะคะว่าคำพวกนี้เขาใช้ยังไงวางในประโยคยังไงค่ะ

since หรือ for

since กับ for มักใช้กับ present perfect tense และ Present Perfect Continuous Tense 



Since 

1. ใช้กับ present perfect (has, have +v.3) แปลว่าตั้งแต่ ต่อด้วยจุดเริ่มต้นของเวลา

    เช่น She has worked here since 1999.

2. Since บวกประโยคแปลว่า เพราะว่า ใช้เหมือน because

    เช่น I cannot go to class because/since/for/as it is raining.

3. ใช้ since(ตั้งแต่)ตามด้วยเวลา เพื่อบอกจุดเริ่มต้นของเหตุการณ์ อาจบอกเป็นปี เป็นเดือน ฯ

     เช่น

     Since --> 10 o’clockSunday 
                    Jaunary 
                    2002 
                    Christmas
                    I woke up 
                    1st January   เป็นต้น 

 ตัวอย่างประโยค
  
         I have been in Chiangmai since 2009.(ฉันอยู่เชียงใหม่ตั้งแต่ปี 2009)
        Terry has worked as a teacher since 2004. (เทอรรี่นั้นได้ทำงานเป็นคุณครูตั้งแต่ปี 2004)           We have been watching this movie since 8 o’clock.(เราได้ดูหนังเรื่องนี้ตั้งแต่แปดโมงเช้า)
  
For ตามด้วยระยะเวลา 

   เช่น
      for -- > two hours
                  30 minutes 
                  ten days 
                 10 years 
                 decade เป็นต้น 


1.ใช้กับ present perfect บอกช่วงเวลา

    เช่น She has worked here for ten years.

2. For บวกประโยคแปลว่าเพราะว่า ใช้เหมือน because และ since

    เช่น I cannot go to class because/since/for/as it is raining.

3. ใช้ for (เป็นเวลา) เพื่อบอกว่าเหตุการณ์นั้น ๆ เกิดขึ้นมาเป็นเวลาเท่าใดแล้ว
   
     เช่น 2 days, 3 hours, 10 years เป็นต้น


ตัวอย่างประโยค

I have been in Chiangmai for 3 years. ฉันอยู่เชียงใหม่มา 3 ปีแล้ว

We have been waiting for our teacher for half an hour.เราได้รอคุณครูของพวกเราเป็นระยะเวลาครึ่งชั่วโมงแล้ว

Kun has not seen jimmy for a week.กุลไม่ได้พบจิมมี่เป็นเวลาหนึ่งอาทิตย์แล้ว

FOR

FOR ใช้กับเวลา แปลว่า "เป็นเวลา....." ตามด้วยช่วงเวลาที่บอกว่า นานเท่าไร ใช้ได้กับทุก tense และ for อาจจะละออกจากประโยคได้

ถ้าใช้ for กับ present perfect จะแสดงอาการกระทำในปัจจุบัน และ for ใช้ถามกับ how long

 • For (ละ for ได้) how long have you worked on this book?

 • I have worked on this book for two months. (แต่ How long ago (หรือ When) did you start to work on this book? I started to work on this book two months ago.)

for ในความหมายอื่นๆ

 for ever = ตลอดไป

 for life = ตลอดชีวิต

 for fear that = ด้วยกลัวว่า

 for want of หรือ for lack of = เพราะไม่มี....

 for all = despite ทั้งๆ ที่ (For all his wealth, he was unhappy.)

 for all that = ทั้งๆ ที่เป็นเช่นนั้น (ใช้เหมือน although)

 for all I know = ฉันจะไปรู้หรือ (He may be in Bangkok for all I know.)

 for certain = โดยแน่นอน
